Located at the argentine province of Mendoza, Bodega & Cavas de Weinert was built in 1890 by a Spanish family and founded in 1975 by the Brazilian businessman of german origin Bernardo C. Weinert. The mission of he who carries the art of wine* as a name and extends it to the family business is sustained for more than forty years: to create high quality classic wines. 

With long periods of ageing in large French oak casks, Weinert wines reflect the elegance of time, where the art of winemaking and the vibrancy of Mendoza’s terroir meet to create enchanting, profound and timeless wines.

Seeking to enhance the typicity of each grape variety, Weinert's Varietal line is a pioneer in combining the quality of Argentina's terroir and classic style. Weinert Merlot is an expression of Lujan de Cuyo's older vines and terroir, reflected on the earthy and deep aromatic complexity combined with terciary notes of black tea leaves and thymes notes given by it's ageing in large French oak casks.

Carrascal is a neighbourhood in Mendoza were Agustinian monks produced clay amphorae for the transportation of wine between the 18th and 19th Century. A 100% varietal Chardonnay is fresh and zesty, with a combination of medium richness in the palate with hints of white flowers and a creamy structure. It is a perfect pairing for cured salmon, seafood dishes and pasta with creamy sauces with softer cheeses and platters of raw vegetables.

Montfleury wines are an expression of the many fabulous regions of the Uco Valley. Reflecting our quest to produce wines true to their terroir, this line conveys the
brightness and purity of Gualtallary ́s soil, where juicy and fresh fruit meets minerality and a crispy acidity. 

Montfleury Pinot Noir Rosé

Named after a historic neighbourhood in Mendoza where clay amphorae were manufactured  in the 19th century, the Carrascal line reflects the joviality and power of Mendoza fruit. A 100% Malbec from vineyards of Lujan de Cuyo of 15-50 years of age. Its ageing process of 18 months in large french oak casks which vary between 2000 - 6000 litres in capacity add earthiness to its typical ripe plums, dark cherries and violet notes. A perfect gaucho wine for roasted beef and vegetables.

Seeking to enhance the typicity of each grape variety, Weinert's Varietal line is a pioneer in combining the quality of Argentina's terroir and a classic school of winemaking. Made from selected vineyards of 70-110 years of age within the region of Lujan de Cuyo, Weinert Malbec outstands by its bright ruby colour and aromatic depth dominated by dried red fruits, cedary notes and licorice. It's ageing and harmonization in large French oak casks gives it's distinctive character, backed by Weinert's reputation of classic mature vintages.

Tonel Único, translating to Single Cask, is a reflection of the personality our best casks confers to selected single vineyard wines during their long ageing process and maturation. 

Our cask collection adds up to 233 French oak casks varying from 2.200 to 6.000 litres which sit in our underground cellars at 80% humidity and 14C in temperature. This perfect place for the maturation of our wines is where our best vineyards are able to develop their uniqueness, creating wines of superb characteristics and layers.

For Estrella´s collection, we select the casks which showed unusual and extraordinary qualities, having been kept aside from the normal wines of each vintage.

Its ageing process of 18 months in large french oak casks which vary between 2000 - 6000 litres in capacity add sweet cedary notes to its typical roasted bell pepper and cassis notes. A perfect wine for barbecues, charcuterie and spicier dishes.

A fruit forward nose based on the blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot gives a youthful character to this wine. Its well defined body given by the ageing of 24 months in oak casks reflects a harmony which makes this wine an argentine classic. Its gastronomic versatility makes it an ideal match for grilled vegetables, barbecue, pasta and various semi-hard cheeses.

Created in 1976 by Don Bernardo C. Weinert, Cavas de Weinert - Cask Selection gathers Weinert’s values in winemaking: tradition, quality, prestige and uniqueness. Made from a selection of our most expressive wines ageing in casks within our cellars, it conveys the harmony between its three grape varieties: Malbec conferring its ripe mouthfeel of red and black fruits, Cabernet Sauvignon its mid-palate structure and elegant depth of cedary and cocoa notes, and Merlot its elegant earthiness. Its ageing process in French oak cask imprints a unique and distinguished style, marking the directions of our wines towards excellence.
